OUR MISSION
Italy’s local experience, made legible and transferable
Minoranze.org is an independent and non-partisan cultural project promoted by the Cattedra della Pace di Assisi. The Observatory studies, documents and monitors national, ethnic, linguistic and religious minorities in Italy.
What the Observatory does
It gathers primary sources, data, personal accounts and public documents; follows legislation, policy, judgments and institutional reports; and organises evidence into dossiers and territorial pathways.
Who it serves
Its resources document the Italian experience for local authorities, communities, researchers, students and public readers. The English edition presents the quality of that work through evidence, clear methods and transparent limits, so its useful elements can be assessed and adapted elsewhere.
Areas of observation

What can travel beyond Italy
A documented network of municipalities, traceable administrative acts, explicit editorial standards and a research protocol that separates collection from analysis provide the foundations of the approach. Replication requires adapting institutional responsibilities, legal safeguards, languages and forms of participation to each country.
The model is being developed and examined through exploratory research. Its value as a reference depends on the quality and transparency of the evidence produced.
